Prenatal Yoga
Join us for an intimate 8-week program taylored to fit your specific. We will move through safe and useful postures, while focusing on body and breath awareness which facilitates the easing of resistance and contributes to a healthy pregnancy and a smooth delivery. Special guest Midwife Kelly Burke
(This class session based with limited space.)

Liquid Flow
This class is designed for the early morning state of consciousness. It focuses on gentle liquid movement to slowly awaken the body and a spirit. Appropriate for all levels. (Drop-in rate 10$ )

Open Practice and Meditation
For those students with a self practice the studio will be available as well as props and mats.
No Intructor will be present.



INTENSIVE STUDY PROGRAM

Intensive Study Program is a unique approach aimed at those students looking for a more indepth and personalized experience. As taught in India, yoga was traditionally passed from teacher to student in a one-on-one setting so no detail of philosophy, spirituality or asana was missed. These classes are limited to 5 students and offered in 10-week intensive sessions. You will be with the same students each week enabling the class to make progress and build on the momentum of the group.

There are a variety of versions offered – ranging from Philosophy to Advanced Asana and Energetics and Pre-natal and Birthing classes. Home work may be given and the facilitation of a personal practice can be introduced. The sessions take place at the Jersey Street location.

BEGINNER SESSION
Learn the basic anatomy as it is used in a yoga practice. The foundation and application of basic asana; standing, twisting, back bending and supine, as well as modifications. Gain understanding of the proper use of props and the beginnings of energy locks and pranayama (breath work). Reconnect with the miracle that is your body.

July 7th - Sept 8th, Tuesdays, 7:00 - 8:30pm

INTERMEDIATE /ADVANCED
For the student with a basic foundation of a practice looking to gain deeper resonation with it and delve deeper into more advanced asana and meditation techniques. This session will include the exploration of arm balances and inversions.

July 9th - Sept 10th, Thursdays, 7:00 - 8:30pm

PRE-NATAL YOGA & BIRTHING CLASS – NEW!!!
This intimate 8-week program is designed to accomodate the body as it changes during pregnancy. We will work on strength, balance and the easing of resistance in preparation for child birth. There will be a deep focus on breath awareness as well as how to stretch safely and how to keep the body comfortable and active during these amazing shifts. We will have two visits from community member and practicing midwife Kely Burke to help make our practice practical. Only 6 spaces available,

ADVANCED ASANA & STUDY OF ENERGETICS
This program delves deeply into the energetics of asana and anatomy as well as the somatic connection to intelect and emotion. Fine tuning the visceral components of balance through moving meditations and beginning to understand the integrity of transitions. We will cover more challenging arm balances and inversions, the difference between a hold and active breath expression, stamina as it relates to energy and cultivating intelligent sequencing for your body. Philosophy and the power of intention will be woven throughout each practice.
